RED TEAM/PURPLE TEAM
The Mako Group performs advanced adversarial simulations to emulate an actual attack on organizations, commonly referred to as red team assessments. The goal of a red team assessment is to assess the organizations ability to detect, thwart, or mitigate an actual attack using tools and techniques deployed by real-world adversaries. A red team assessment uses a calculative approach to achieve pre-determined goals without the use of loud and noisy techniques such as mass vulnerability scans. Red team exercises enable mature organizations to better evaluate security controls in place throughout the entire attack process from start to finish.
Purple teaming is where the red teams (offensive) and blue teams (defensive) meet and where organizations find increase value. Through purple teaming, The Mako Group reviews attacks, attack vectors, and methodologies with the blue team to further strengthen the team’s ability to identify and eradicate active attacks on the network.
